“I’m convinced my obituary will someday mention the fact that I had the honor to perform at Happy Ending.” Dan Rollman (President/Founder: Universal Record Database)
THE MAY 18th, 2016 SHOW CONCLUDES OUR ONE YEAR RESIDENCY AT SYMPHONY SPACE. Tomorrow, I will fly to Israel and end the series with two final shows in Jerusalem. After that, it’s off to focus on my own happy ending – my career as a writer– which I accidentally sacrificed for this absolute labor of love. Thank you to everyone who supported this series, who gave me guidance and advice (some unsolicited, but still appreciated). Thank you to the authors, musicians, artists, technical staff, venue staff and of course, you, the audience. Without whom, there’d be nothing. —Amanda Stern May 18th, 2016

DIY pioneer, singer/songwriter, activist and entrepreneur, Ani DiFranco has been setting her own pace for more than 25 years. The Grammy-nominated artist has released more than 20 albums of eclectic folk music, all of which incorporate her reflections on society and social issues. Matching the current political climate in the United States, DiFranco is using her current VOTE DAMMIT tour and her music to encourage fans to have their voices be heard not in just the presidential elections, but the congressional elections as well. Her latest release was 2014’s Allergic To Water, where she also blended abstract imagery and deceptively understated melodies with personal reflections on her life in New Orleans, where she is now raising her two children with her husband, producer Mike Napolitano. Allergic To Water is on her Righteous Babe record label, which she launched in the 90’s to release music on her own terms selling over 5 million copies of her catalog to date while releasing music on her own terms.

Lady Parts Justice is a collaborative team of comedians, cultural influencers, technologists and activists who are using humor and outrage to expose, remove and replace anti-choice zealots with pro-choice, pro-women politicians.
